Dirty Smashed Potatos

They’re called dirty smashed potatos because I leave the skin on and don’t wash them.


  • potatos (cut into large pieces)
  • butter
  • milk
  • garlic (chopped)
  • green onions (chopped)


  1. Boil potatos in salt water until folk tender.
  2. While potatos are cooking, melt butter in separate pan.
  3. Add garlic, sweat.
  4. Add milk.  Heat up milk.  Be careful.  Milk will boil over.
  5. When potatos are cooked, drain potatos.
  6. Smash potatos.
  7. Add milk, butter, garlic.
  8. Mix.
  9. Top with green onions.
